Hello beautiful people! Anyone else feeling exciting times ahead? I sure am- it's the optimist in me. With the Supreme Court hearing arguments over California's Proposition 8 and DOMA I've seen such a beautiful outpour of love and support from family and friends. My Facebook account is filled with red, pink and white little squares as friends have shown their support for equal rights through changing their profile pictures to the Human Rights Campaign logo for marriage equality. Without seeing all the different faces on my news feed, what I see instead are all equal, beautiful, human beings! And that is a wonderful feeling no matter what the outcome of the cases may be.
In honor of these exciting times I'm excited to share with you a beautiful wedding so unique yet similar to many weddings I've shot before. Similar in the ways that a wedding day is just a beautiful communion of two individuals in love, joining their lives forever together. I see the same blending of families coming together, often for their first time. I see the same touching emotional moment as one sees their partner for their first time on wedding day. The same siblings partying like it's college all over again because they're so overjoyed (and it's open bar :) The same little kids dancing until they tire themselves out they can hardly keep their eyes open. The same beautiful unique and fun day no matter how you've planned it. It's all the the same beautiful day when two people marry.
Here's two of my favorite men Johnny and Vic and their very much same as everyone else's only more fabulous wedding! Let's hope that one day we can all make it the same on paper.
